Our bespoke lead door canopies are a work of art. These are not fibreglass reproductions, but traditional late 18th– early 19th century classic Georgian style canopies with hand-built timber frames, proper lead roofs, scalloped edges and lead flashing.
These entrances are particularly stunning when professionally designed. They meet every type of temperature and weather with elegance.
The Bespoke Lead Door Canopy Process
Your bespoke lead door canopy begins with a complimentary site survey and initial meeting with owner Stephen Gelb. Stephen will survey your property and candidly show you a range of design options for you to choose from. Then you’ll receive an all-inclusive, precise written estimate.
Stephen knows the value of staying personally involved from design inception to project completion. He always attends each initial meeting and checks the work himself when it is finished by his team of experienced fitters. At Summit Cladding, our values and ethos are explicitly defined. The work needs to be exceptional, the crew professional and the site in impeccable condition.
Benefits of Summit Cladding Bespoke Lead Door Canopies
Real lead is the difference in our bespoke lead door canopies. Many companies offer ‘lead look canopies’ or ‘realistic lead effect canopies,’ but those are mere reproductions. What we offer is an authentic lead roof expertly fitted upon a bespoke, laminated, hand-built timber frame. This is installed by our on-site lead specialists, who can complete the look with scalloped edges and lead flashing.
Prior to lead work the design is realised using timber to forge and shape the Georgian curved traditional canopy. Support brackets, or gallows, can be either hidden internally or kept visible with a series of design options for shape and preferred décor. Underneath, detailed fascias and soffits are expertly crafted with the option of lights installed into the ceiling cladding above.
